Anthony Edwards Has No Idea Who Alex Rodriguez Is

The Minnesota Timberwolves have a new owner and their star rookie number one overall pick has no idea who he is. Classic Timberwolves! Alex Rodriguez is set to buy the Timberwolves and Anthony Edwards doesn’t have a single clue who he is. You couldn’t make it up if you tried. The reaction says it all.

“I don’t know who that is,” Edwards, the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, told reporters Tuesday. “I know he’s going to be the owner. But I don’t know anything about baseball.”

That’s unbelievable. Now I get that Edwards was born in 2001 (how depressing is that) but never heard of ARod? Like not even the slightest mention of him? I guess Edwards didn’t grow up in the era of watching SportsCenter. The only ESPN he knows is the one filled with trash. SAD.

Think of all of the athletes Anthony Edwards doesn’t know about. Brett Favre? Never heard of him. Oh, wait, is he the guy in the jeans commercials! Think about it. There should have been an immediate follow up question. Does Edwards know who Jennifer Lopez is? Someone needs to just start holding up pictures of famous people. He’d go 0-10.

Anthony Edwards Apparently Isn’t Really Into Basketball

Alex Rodriguez didn’t get the Mets but he did get Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves! God, somehow the Mets feel like a much better alternative. Will the Timberwolves ever win? Does ARod know it’s cold in Minnesota? Does ARod know that no free agents are coming? Does ARod know that Karl-Anthony Towns is soft and a total cancer? This should be fun.
