Breaking News: Lakers Acquire Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis whined, pouted, and moped his way into exactly what he wanted. Davis has officially been traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. In exchange for the Brow, the Pelicans will receive Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, and 3 first round picks. One of which will include the 4th selection in this year’s draft.

The Pelicans have agreed to a deal to trade Anthony Davis to the Lakers for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and three first-round picks – including the No. 4 overall in 2019 Draft, league sources tell ESPN.

This has to be considered a win for the Lakers. I’m sorry, but how do you not squeeze Kyle Kuzma out of this deal if you are New Orleans? This trade has a chance to be a disaster for the Pelicans at first glance. Ingram has blood clots. We have no idea if he will ever play a lengthy career. Lonzo Ball is just flat out overrated. If it wasn’t for his loud mouth dad, the entire world would already know that he stinks. The 2019 NBA Draft is considered a 3 player draft. New Orleans will receive the 4th pick.

I can’t fathom what just happened. After Gayle Benson acted all tough and claimed the Pelicans would refuse to deal Davis to the Lakers, they traded him to LA anyway and didn’t get much. Those first round picks are worthless if the Lakers are contenders.

The NBA continues to show everyone that all you have to do is pout and you will get your way. Hey, congrats to the Lakers. They got their guy and their guy wants to be in LA. Rich Paul who represents Davis called the Lakers Jennifer Lopez. Not sure how considering how much of a train wreck they have been recently.

In other news, it appeared that Danny Ainge listened to me and stayed out of the Davis sweepstakes. Or he just got outbid which I find hard to believe. This trade package could have easily been beaten. Looks like the Celtics just kept Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown off the table. Boston also has 3 first round picks this year alone. The Knicks also kept their pick off the table taking them out of the running. Maybe this was just the best that New Orleans could do.
