Ahhh, the Cardinals. What exactly do you do here? The third overall pick is sexy but the core problems won’t go away after today. Does it make Kyler Murray grow a work ethic? Does it make Jonathan Gannon into a real head coach? The good news is the last time the Cardinals were in this spot they just turned the card in for Larry Fitzgerald. That one turned out okay, right? You would love to move down from pick three. I think that goes without saying. However, If you’re stuck there I think Will Anderson is the easy pick. I don’t think the Cardinals can handle another bad PR hit. Will Anderson is everything you want in a prospect. Big production at an SEC school who Nick Saban raves about. Will be a double digit sack guy for a long time and is excellent against the run. Turn the card in an celebrate the fact that you didn’t make the Nick Bosa mistake again. It’s who we picked in the site draft.
Offensive line help has to be a priority. That little quarterback is brittle. Get as many dudes you can to protect him. I ended up taking three in the first three rounds of this draft. I don’t think Cardinal fans will complain about that outcome.
Other than that, we know the truth. This team sucks. If you can trade Budda Baker and or DeAndre Hopkins for premium picks, you do it. Start over and build this roster the right way. The only thing is it won’t matter because everyone with a brain knows Jonathan Gannon isn’t ready for this job. Send picks to next year if you can.
