Jaheim Bell 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Jaheim Bell
Jaheim Bell might be the most unique tight end in the 2024 NFL Draft. Let’s review the former Florida State product’s 2024 NFL Draft Profile here! (Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports)

Jaheim Bell 2024 NFL Draft Profile

Jaheim Bell is a weird player to evaluate heading into the 2024 NFL Draft. We’re going to dive into all of it so enjoy his 2024 NFL Draft profile!

First, let’s try to understand what Bell is. He’s more similar to Kyle Juszczyk than he is to George Kittle. Functions best as an H-Back. Can play fullback, tight end, wide receiver, and maybe even running back. Not really a blocker but can just help you in the pass game.

Seems to be a player that has a wide range of outcomes. Mostly because any given team that trades for him will have a different plan for the player. We’ve also learned a lot of tight ends that can’t block flame out. Bell will not help you in that area. Doesn’t have a super big catch radius either and isn’t going to wow in those contested catch situations like some other red zone specialists.

Checks in at 6-foot-2, 241. Former four star recruit but was filed under the athlete category. Nobody knows what he is even back then. A true gadget guy that can do things after the catch. Spent his first three years at South Carolina before transferring to finish out his career at Florida State. This past year for the Seminoles, Bell notched 39 receptions for 503 yards and two touchdowns. His numbers in 2021 were pretty similar to that stat line. However, he had 73 rushing attempts for 261 yards and three scores in 2022. Florida State didn’t use him as a running back nearly as much as the Gamecocks did.

Pure gadget guy and had a solid Combine. Ran a 4.61, jumped 35 on the vert, and 10’4″ on the broad. Moves the chains and stretches the field well. Tough to tackle and obviously versatile. Mentioned him a few times during the year for the Stock Report series. Have his game log against Clemson and against Miami. Mostly about the same questions I mentioned before. Mostly a solid showing at the Senior Bowl.

With Jaheim Bell, I’m willing to pull the trigger deep in the draft. Think he can help you in the pass game but there are too many questions about what he actually is to go higher. It is what it is. Figure it out and you might have a hidden gem.
