Everybody has their take on Trey Lance, at this point. I just made fun of Cowturd for what he said about Lance prior to the 2021 NFL Draft. For anybody who watches TV, it’s pretty obvious by now that Lance is terrible. He looks awful during the preseason games to the point where you question if the guy even belongs in the league.
Everybody has their take on Lance, but maybe we should rely on our old friend, Fran. Does anybody else remember when Fran Fraschilla said this about Bruno Caboclo?
“He’s two years away from being two years away and then we’ll see”.
Has anyone described Trey Lance better?
Let’s just be honest with what we’re seeing from Lance. The guy stinks. He has zero quarterback instincts. Just not accurate at all. The feet aren’t tied to the arm in any way. The rushing ability has been totally overstated. Are we sure this is a good athlete?
More than anything, it’s painfully obvious that he’s not ready to play. This dude needs to keep developing. He needs to be on the Jordan Love plan.
Of course, in Caboclo’s case, he never made it. The more and more time goes on, maybe we just need to acknowledge that Lance stinks. The guy was a three-star FCS quarterback after all. Most of those guys fail and that’s okay. Let’s just be responsible when talking about it. If Kyle Shanahan can’t get the guy to play well, then I’m not sure he’s ever going to make it.
