The Jacksonville Jaguars look like the one team that is really trying to tank for Trevor Lawrence. The 2020 NFL Draft for Jacksonville will probably be about moving picks to next year and collecting as much young talent as possible. The Jaguars are in total rebuild mode and have 12 picks for the 2020 NFL Draft. How will they go about using them? Let’s dive inside the war room.

Jacksonville has a lot of draft ammo. They have 4 picks in the top 75 which will be the focus for the post. Those picks sit at 9, 20, 42, and 73. Again, I should say Jacksonville will be a team that trades picks towards next year. I would guess that’s the course of action to really load up for the Trevor Lawrence draft.

I think ideally, the Jaguars would be happy to just land Derrick Brown. Trading Calais Campbell left a huge hole up front. Brown would fit in very well. Brown is just a monster and you won’t miss picking him. That’s the bottom line. He’s insanely strong and looked like the best player on the field pretty much every week.

With the 20th pick, it would make sense to try to replace Jalen Ramsey. This is the pick (among others) the Jags got in that Ramsey trade. CJ Henderson could be the man for the job. Henderson played at Florida so Jacksonville got to see him up close for a long time. Henderson has the skillset to be a potential number one corner. Speed, quickness, fluidity, and high level production in the SEC.

I could see the Jaguars trying to land some weapons in the 2nd and 3rd round. Maybe they have to move around to accomplish some of this. Do you really want to go into the season with Leonard Fournette as the primary running back? Jonathan Taylor makes some sense. So would Laviska Shenault. A shifty wide receiver from Colorado who could do some damage after the catch.
