Trevor Lawrence

The NFL has seen a lot of fantastic quarterbacks over the years. Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, etc. Some of those guys were hyped and flew under the radar. Soon the NFL will marvel at Trevor Lawrence. Make no mistake about it, Trevor Lawrence will go down as the greatest quarterback prospect to ever enter the NFL.

Tom Brady may be the GOAT but he was a 6th round draft pick. Nobody could have ever predicted this kind of success for him. How great is he without the Patriots system? Peyton Manning was a fantastic quarterback. Maybe the best pre-snap guy ever. Still, he wasn’t the most mobile guy and didn’t have a cannon arm. Trevor Lawrence has a chance to be the greatest ever or at least has all the potential to do so.

Lawrence has everything. 6-foot-6, mobile, rocket arm, smart, accurate, and poised. I’m not sure College Football has ever seen a guy this talented. Lawrence probably would have been the first pick in the NFL Draft as a 17-year-old in high school Yes, he’s that good. As a true Freshman for Clemson, Lawrence threw for 30 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He would have put up bigger passing numbers if he didn’t split time with Kelly Bryant. A lot of teams would have ridden with Bryant, a Senior who was the rightful successor to Deshaun Watson. Lawrence was so good that Dabo Sweeney had no choice but to start Lawrence and Bryant transferred.

It can’t get much better for Lawrence. The former quarterback from Georgia stepped right in and won a National Championship as a true Freshman. He didn’t just win a title. Clemson won the title 44-16 over a loaded Alabama team. Lawrence didn’t just win a title. He beat Nick Saban and Tua Tagovailoa and made them look like peasants. Saban is arguably the greatest college football head coach ever and Tua is going to be the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Just a year ago with Kelly Bryant, Clemson lost to Alabama 24-6 with Jalen Hurts as Bama’s quarterback. Lawrence just swung the tide in Clemson’s favor as a True Freshman.

Think about it. Has Nick Saban ever been beaten that bad? Especially at Alabama. Saban has been as dominant as it gets. The only quarterback that has been him in recent years in Deshaun Watson. Seriously, Watson is the only guy that has torched this Bama defense. Watson is also a star in the NFL. As a 2nd year quarterback, Watson just won 11 games with the Texans with the worst offensive line in football. Somehow, Lawrence looks like he has a much higher ceiling than Watson does. Watson was involved in two shootouts with Alabama. Lawrence made Bama look like a middle school team… as a True Freshman.

This is the single greatest quarterback prospect of my lifetime. Lawrence would have been the first pick in the draft in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 when he’s finally eligible. That’s just a fact. I can’t think of a bigger guaranteed Hall of Famer at the position in college. Andrew Luck is the only other player that comes close. Lawrence has zero red flags. The Clemson quarterback has size, mobility, arm strength, accuracy, leadership, poise, and character. A+ for every possible trait. He’s a can’t miss.
