2020 NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 7

2020 NFL Draft

2020 NFL Draft
CeeDee Lamb is a star. He’s making a case as the best wide receiver in the nation and the 2020 NFL Draft (Vernon Bryant / Dallas Morning News)

We have another jam packed week in college football to cover in regards to the 2020 NFL Draft. It’s been a really fun season and it feels like a bunch of teams can win the National Title. This week we have a few games to go over. They include Oklahoma At Texas, Alabama At Texas A&M, and Penn State At Iowa. Yes, I wanted to watch the LSU – Florida game but the house I was at didn’t have ESPN. BRUTAL. Let’s take a look at who stood for better or worse when it comes to the 2020 NFL Draft.

Oklahoma At Texas

Quarterbacks:

Let’s just be honest here. Jalen Hurts and Sam Ehlinger are not NFL franchise quarterbacks. They’re just not. Hurst is just wildly inaccurate. Every time he throws the ball, it makes you feel like you’re about to puke. It’s ugly. Lincoln Riley is doing everything he can for this guy. Hurts threw one of the worst interceptions I’ve ever seen. He’s not an NFL quarterback. If you’re making these kind of mistakes with Lincoln Riley, you have no chance in the NFL as a capable starter.

Sam Ehlinger just stinks. He’s just a less athletic version of Hurts. Texas had 3 points at half time against what is considered an awful Oklahoma defense. PATHETIC. Ehlinger averaged 5.5 yards per attempt with a QBR of 35.2. If you can’t carve up the Big 12, you’re not carving up the NFL. Get out of here with any Sam Ehlinger buzz. He stinks.

Oklahoma Stars

There are 3 players on Oklahoma I want to get to. CeeDee Lamb is their best player. Lamb was a one man wrecking crew in the passing 10 receptions, 171 yards, and 3 touchdowns. The man is disgusting. Yes, the Texas secondary is ass. Still, Lamb is disgusting. Just watch the tape. The man is electric.

Defense?

YES. OU actually has two defensive players I really like. Kenneth Murray is a heat seeking piss missile. He looks like a chicken with his head cut off. I don’t know If Murray knows what he’s doing all the time but the closing speed is incredible. He looks like a great athlete that you can mold into a stud linebacker. He even rushes off the edge too. Might be the best defensive player in the conference.

One more for you. Neville Gallimore. He can absolutely play. Gallimore is a 5th year Senior that can push the pocket and has some wiggle to him. Gallimore notched two sacks in this one. The one I’m going to show you is a nasty spin move. That’s important. How many pass rushing moves do you have? Any defensive tackle that’s pulling out spin moves like this has my attention.

Alabama At Texas A&M

Alabama Offensive Power:

I haven’t watched Tua Tagovailoa this year yet. Not like I really needed to see much more. Tua is the best quarterback in the class. Don’t pay attention to the video game stats he puts up. The most important quality he has is his ability to read progressions. Tua’s ability to go from one, two, three, four, back to two separates him from everyone else. Tagovailoa became the All-Time leading passing in Alabama history. That’s in basically a year and a half of starts. Incredible. He did throw his first pick in this one but it was mostly 4 touchdowns of pure magic.

I think we’re getting to a point where we can say this too. All the Bama receivers, just sign them up. I think they’re all good. DeVonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs. Doesn’t matter. They’re all disgusting. Sign them all up. How many times have we seen this before Tua slant Smith touchdown. Wash, rinse, and repeat. At this point, I don’t think we will find out much more until the combine.

Penn State At Iowa

Not a ton here. KJ Hamler had another nice week. 7 catches for 61 yards and a score. I really think he’s more than a gimmick guy. I like him. I don’t know who Yetur Gross-Matos is. I need to know more. Looks like a monster on the defensive line. Don’t want to overreact too much.

AJ Epenesa didn’t blow me away. Did have a sack. Not too much to takeaway. Still can’t quite tell how good he is.
