2023 NFL Draft War Room: New York Jets

Some things just never change. Joe Douglas stinks. We’re still waiting for Aaron Rodgers. The Jets are still stuck. The roster is improving but the corner still hasn’t been turned. Maybe the 2023 NFL Draft can be a turning point but given what we know about the Jets… probably not. Let’s head inside the War Room!

Well… I think I tried to say it the best that I possibly could in the video. I’m not trading for Aaron Rodgers. I mean that by saying I’ll let Joe Douglas do that part. I’m not giving up anything more than a 4th rounder for him because I know the truth. Rodgers doesn’t solve all the problems here. This roster needs to keep getting better with or without him. Damaging that future for a quick fix never goes well. The Packers also have zero leverage so they should stop pretending like they do.

I may sound like a broken record at this point but I’m just not passing on the cornerback talent in this draft. To get one of these guys to pair with Sauce Gardner feels like a home run scenario. How do you not go that route? We even double down on it later in the video.

The offensive line still needs work too. Outside of Alijah Vera-Tucker, I’m not sure I can count on anybody on that unit. They should probably take more than one.

The receiver position is probably set after the addition of Allen Lazard. Wouldn’t have been a move I made but whatever. Depth wise later in the draft, I think the Jets should eye pass rushers. Carl Lawson hasn’t given the Jets what they hoped for. How about an insurance policy for him?
