Elijah Moore traded to the Cleveland Browns
He is finally free! The New York Jets have finally found a suitor for Elijah Moore. Moore had mixed feelings in the past about playing for the Jets, and now they have traded him to the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland will receive Moore and the No. 74 pick in this year’s draft for the No. 42 pick in this year’s draft, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
The Jets are making moves and taking names right now. If you haven’t been following this NFL offseason, it is a must-watch. New York is slowly building a squad right now. They recently signed Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman — two valuable receivers — to deals. But enough with adding the players, how about trading away players?
The Jets have underutilized Elijah Moore since his arrival, and as said before, he isn’t the happiest camper. The Jets sadly lost this trade by trading away Moore to the Cleveland Browns. I mean, he was traded for pretty much a bag of chips. He still is a very talented receiver, he just wasn’t happy with the situation.
The Jets drafted Moore in the second round in the 2021 NFL draft. They used the No. 34 pick to select the Ole Miss receiver. Moore has been alright in his two seasons with the Jets, nothing too special. In the two seasons combined, Moore has totaled nearly 1,000 receiving yards on 80 catches. Adding to that, he has six receiving touchdowns, five of which came in his rookie season in which he played only 11 games.
Moore will become a valuable asset to this Cleveland Browns team, as they’re hungry for new receivers. Watch for Moore next season, as his former and current teams will face off in FirstEnergy Stadium. Pencil in that date and grab some popcorn, Elijah Moore season is coming.
