Round 1: No. 26: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan
Round 2: No. 58: Luke Schoonmaker, TE, Michigan
Round 3: No. 90 — DeMarvion Overshown, LB, Texas
Round 4: No. 129 — Viliami Fehoko, DE, San Jose State
Round 5: No. 169 — Asim Richards, OT, North Carolina
Round 6: No. 178 (from Bears through Dolphins and Chiefs) — Eric Scott Jr., CB, Southern Miss
Round 6: No. 212 — Deuce Vaughn, RB, Kansas State
Round 7: No. 244 — Jalen Brooks, WR, South Carolina
WTF was that? Did Dallas only send scouts to Michigan? I think Mazi Smith will end up being a contributor but first round? I thought the third round was a more reasonable spot for him. He’s going to be a plug and play nose tackle but if you’re expecting BJ Raji vibes, that’s probably not happening. The Luke Schoonmaker pick was absolute trash. How did anybody think that was a second round player? Asking him to replace Dalton Schultz day one feels like an impossible ask.
DeMarvion Overshown is boom or bust. A fine pick in round three but something that could also turn into nothing. There is nothing to be excited about with the rest of this class.
Round 1: No. 24 (from Jaguars): Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland
Round 2: No. 57 — John Michael-Schmitz, C, Minnesota
Round 3: No. 73 — Jalin Hyatt, WR, Tennessee
Round 5: No. 172 — Eric Gray, RB, Oklahoma
Round 6: No. 209 (from Chiefs) — Tre Hawkins III, CB, Old Dominion
Round 7: No. 243 — Jordan Riley, DT, Oregon
Round 7: No. 254 — Gervarrius Owens, S, Houston
Solid draft. Thought it was a job well done by Joe Schoen. You have to factor in the Darren Waller acquisition into this too. Maybe it gets canceled out considering they took Kadarius Toney in round one and gave him away for the same pick? Nevermind…
I like Deonte Banks. Wouldn’t have been the corner I picked but I’m fairly high on him. Really good speed too. John Michael-Schmitz should be a really solid center for them. The wrestling background is encouraging and improving on the offensive line is never a bad idea.
What really pushed this to a B+ is the damage Schoen did with Jalin Hyatt and Eric Gray. Both players I’m really high on. I’ve compared Hyatt to Will Fuller and to get that guy at pick 73 is awesome value. Eric Gray is a good player. I’d trade Saquon yesterday and hand the keys to Gray. Either way, this will be the best complimentary back the Giants have ever had under Barkley.
Round 1: No. 9 (from Bears via Panthers) — Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
Round 1: No. 30 — Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia
Round 3: No. 65 — Tyler Steen, OT, Alabama
Round 3: No. 66 (from Cardinals) — Sydney Brown, S, Illinois
Round 4: No. 105 (from Cardinals through Houston) — Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia
Round 6: No. 188 (from Saints through Texans) — Tanner McKee, QB, Stanford
Round 7: No. 249 — Moro Ojomo, DE, Texas
These teams are so dumb. Philadelphia would have never gotten away with this had I been running one of these teams. Howie Roseman knocked it out of the park. Jalen Carter is the best player in the draft and I’m not sure how it’s arguable. Nolan Smith is probably a top-ten talent in the class.
Somehow it just kept getting better. The trade for D’Andre Swift was just straight stealing. The Eagles didn’t even need a running back yet got one of the best ones in the league for pennies on the dollar. It’s Georgia north. Kelee Ringo in the fourth round was probably the best pick in the entire draft. I had him as CB2 and the Eagles got him at pick 105. It’s criminal in a good way.
It would have been an A+ Draft with just that. Add in Tyler Steen who’s going to shift to guard and Sydney Brown who is a tough safety, it’s total overkill. At this point would anybody be surprised if they groom Tanner McKee for a better pick return down the line?
Round 1: No. 16: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Mississippi State
Round 2: No. 47: Jartavius Martin, CB, Illinois
Round 3: No. 97 — Ricky Stromberg, C, Arkansas
Round 4: No. 118 — Braeden Daniels, OG, Utah
Round 5: No. 137 (from Cardinals through Bills) — KJ Henry, DE, Clemson
Round 6: No. 193 — Chris Rodriguez, RB, Kentucky
Round 7: No. 233: Andre Jones Jr., EDGE, Louisiana
I didn’t want to give Washington an F but I feel like I have to. I like Emmanuel Forbes but he’s a boom or bust guy and taking him as the first corner in the draft was odd. The only pick here I like is KJ Henry. They took two offensive linemen with shaky feet. This Washington team is going to be terrible and this draft doesn’t change much.
