Jalen Carter is the best player in the draft. Today we’re here to talk about what exactly Carter brings to the table. Simple enough, right? Well, not that simple because at least a few teams will make the wrong decision when they’re on the clock. Let’s get into the Jalen Carter 2023 NFL Draft profile!
We didn’t spend a ton of time on Carter during the stock report notes. Mostly because this has been a no brainer talent for a long time. Week 1 against Oregon was a complete and utter wrecking ball. I just don’t know what more you needed to see in terms of the tape itself.
Has been on radars for a long time. 18th overall recruit and five star player during the 2020 cycle. 6-foot-3, over 33-inch arms and 314. They don’t make defensive tackle prospects like this. They don’t just grow on trees. This is your chance to get your version of Aaron Donald, Fletcher Cox, Chris Jones, etc.
Also has a basketball and weight lifting background. It says a lot that this was the freak along the defensive line when they had Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Travon Walker in the same room. Slowed by injuries down the stretch and struggled against O’Cyrus Torrence but there isn’t really a mystery in what you’re getting here. Those three guys weren’t even there this year and Georgia still led the country in rushing yards allowed (77.1). Carter is scary.
Turn the card in. You won’t regret it. I don’t have anything more to say. Don’t be that guy that falls victim to the draft politics. The smart teams want this guy to fall.
