Why The Colts Will Win

  1. The Colts Defense

The Colts’ defense has been the reason they had such a good season. One of the top defenses in the NFL. The Colts defense has had to carry the load for this team while the offense seemed to disappear at times. If they have any shot against the Bills it will have to be because that defense is playing lights-out.

2. Rushing Attack

The Colts are a defensive team as I just stated. They are not a team that is going to air it out on you. Thus, the rushing attack will be a big key to victory in this game. How do you beat a high-powered offense like the Bills? Don’t let them get the ball. Sustaining long drives chewing tons of clock will be the Colts’ best option for success. Johnathan Taylor has started to turn it on late in the season. With that offensive line, all they have to do is take care of the football and let their defense do its thing.

3. Phil Rivers

This is a double-edged sword for the Colts. If they get good Rivers that means smart football no turnovers and taking what the defense gives you. Which in turn will lead to a victory. If the Colts get bad Rivers that means picks, fumbles, and being careless with the ball. However, Rivers is a veteran quarterback and I expect him to play a smart game. Let’s not forget that Rivers has been to an AFC Championship game and multiple playoff appearances.

Why the Bills Will Win

  1. Josh Allen

Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills! Josh Allen has had his break-out season. The man is playing out of his mind throwing for over 4500 passing yards and 37 TDs. Allen has led this team to its first division title since 1995. Hell, I wasn’t even alive the last time they won the division. However, they are the hottest team in football and Allen is the hottest QB in football. Domonique Foxworth’s comments about Allen just added more fuel to a raging fire.

2. Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs has had the best year of his career. Leading the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535). Diggs has found his home in Buffalo after a tumultuous tenure in Minnesota. It’s not too often that a receiver is a big part of his team’s success. However, in this case, Diggs has been the go-to guy for the Bills offense and it works every time. Diggs is no stranger to legendary playoff performances (i.e the Minneapolis Miracle). If there is one guy you can count on to show up this game it’s Diggs.

3. Bills Mafia

In the new Covid environment it sucks Bills Mafia won’t be there at full-force to watch this game. However, nobody, and I mean absolutely no one rides for their team harder than the residents of Buffalo, New York. The city is the heart and soul of this team. Win in Buffalo and you’ll never have to buy your own beer again in that city. There is something special when an entire city is behind a team like Buffalo is. Allen and Diggs are beloved in the city and will play their asses off for each other and the city.

I’m rolling with the Bills in this one. The Colts just don’t entice me as much as the Bills do. Also, the Colts are still a couple of pieces away from being really good. Nevertheless, the Bills have the talent, are on fire, and have the support of the whole city. Bills advance in this one.
