WWE Wrestlemania 40 Night Two Predictions- Vimbai’s Version

Night One of Wrestlemania came with its fair share of unpredictability. Sami Zayn’s victory over Gunther was a surprise but well-deserved nonetheless. The tag team match-up didn’t go entirely as I planned, but the 12 men all put on a great match. While going 6-2 isn’t the score I was hoping for Night One, I’m hoping Night Two allows for a clean sweep in the prediction department. With that said, let’s get into my predictions for Night Two of Wrestlemania.

WWE Women’s Championship — Iyo Sky (c) vs. Bayley

This match between these women has been a long time coming. Since the formation of Damage CTRL and the slow dwindling of the faction’s foundation, it was a matter of time before it all came to a head. Bayley has been putting up with the antics of Damage CTRL for months, and at Wrestlemania, she is not going down without a fight. Everything she created in the form of Damage CTRL has led to her big moment, and she will be victorious in her conquest for the WWE Women’s Championship.

PREDICTION: Bayley

The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain) vs. Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) (Philadelphia Street Fight)

More should have been done between these men to build up the severity of this match. Going into Wrestlemania, the men haven’t had much momentum other than a few brawls here and there. A Philadelphia Street Fight is a good opportunity for everyone to release the built-up tension that has been brewing over the past couple of months. Bobby Lashley didn’t get his Wrestlemania opportunity last year, and this would be a good opportunity to remind people why they shouldn’t make that mistake again.

PREDICTION: Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits

United States Championship — Logan Paul (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens

Randy Orton won’t benefit from the title right now, and while Kevin Owens is deserving, it does not seem like the most opportune time to pull the trigger on it. The two have been having a little fun together, and maybe with that comes the formation of bigger plans in store for them. Logan Paul has been bringing new eyes to the WWE, and dropping the title doesn’t seem to be the most effective, and definitely not dead center on the PRIME logo at its first in-ring display.

PREDICTION: Logan Paul

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles

AJ Styles has had a bone to pick with LA Knight since his return in December. His attack on Knight at the Elimination Chamber has only added more fuel to the fire, eventually leading to this matchup. AJ Styles has had his fair share of Wrestlemania moments, but it’s time for the light to shine on someone else. LA Knight is one of the fastest-rising stars in the WWE and it’s time to reward his efforts in this business. LA Knight deserves a Wrestlemania moment of his own, and getting it tonight is the best route.

PREDICTION: LA Knight

WWE World Heavyweight Championship — Seth Rollins (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

This match has a few added variables. CM Punk will be ringside on commentary, and Damien Priest is the Money in the Bank briefcase holder. Following the loss of the tag titles last night, Priest may be looking for some opportunities to reclaim some gold. That being said, Seth Rollins may very well still be beaten up from last night’s tag match. Drew McIntyre may use that to his advantage to capitalize on that opportunity. However, in recent weeks, McIntyre has been getting a bit cocky. With Punk ringside, McIntyre may get distracted, ultimately resulting in Rollins seizing the opportunity and retaining his gold.

PREDICTION: Seth Rollins

Undisputed WWE Universal Championship — Roman Reigns (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

With the stipulation set from last night’s main event, the deck is stacked against Cody Rhodes going into tonight’s championship match. “Bloodline Rules” means any and everything goes by Bloodline standards, meaning an even more uphill battle for Rhodes. Given this stipulation essentially means no disqualification, it can be expected to see some surprises not only in favor of Roman Reigns but for Cody Rhodes. A hectic battle is foreseeable between these two, and given all the stakes laid out against Rhodes, it is only going to make a victory that much sweeter.

PREDICTION: Cody Rhodes
