A highly anticipated edition of Friday Night SmackDown comes to you tonight from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will make his first appearance on WWE television since The Bloodline emerged victorious over The Brawling Brutes — Sheamus, Butch, and Ridge Holland — Kevin Owens, and Drew McIntyre in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series: War Games.
The Bloodline is seemingly as tight as they’ve ever been, with Sami Zayn now an integral part of the stable. Last week, Jey Uso promised The Honorary Uce a special night in Chicago. Fans are eager to see the return of The Tribal Chief and how the next chapter in The Bloodline saga unfolds.
After winning the “SmackDown” World Cup, Ricochet will challenge GUNTHER, looking to win back the Intercontinental Championship.
GUNTHER beat Ricochet for the title back in June and has since been absolutely unstoppable on the blue brand. GUNTHER has had absolute classics with the likes of Tyler Bate and Ilja Dragunov in the past and fans will be hoping to get a taste of that in his match with Ricochet on SmackDown. Look out for Braun Strowman, he may be lurking in the background.
Elsewhere, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship will be on the line as Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) defend the belts against Liv Morgan and the recently returned Tegan Nox. Kai and Nox have a storied history that might end up playing into this match.
Hit Row, The Viking Raiders and Legado del Fantasma have been at odds over the past few weeks. The three teams will battle in a triple threat tag team match.
Are you excited about tonight’s show? We will keep you updated in case there are any changes in tonight’s card.
