WWE Announces WrestleMania 40 Location

WWE announced on Wednesday where WrestleMania 40, the biggest event of the year for the company, is going to take place. WrestleMania showcases the best talent in the company and puts on once-in-a-lifetime matches. It makes wrestlers immortal as they get a chance to showcase their skills in front of the largest audience that they will perform in front of. So where is WrestleMania 40 taking place?

WWE reported that Philadelphia, Pa. will host WrestleMania 40 at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Philadelphia Eagles. It has been 25 years since there was a WrestleMania event held in Philadelphia. The biggest event of the year will be on April 6 and April 7, 2024.

WrestleMania is not only a two-night event, but also a week-long celebration. Alongside WrestleMania, there will be other events taking place as well. Friday Night Smackdown, the 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony, and Monday Night Raw will take place at the Wells Fargo Center. There will also be other fan events taking place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Events During WrestleMania Week

WWE is going to be holding multiple community outreach events that include Be a STAR and hospital visits. WrestleMania coming to Philadelphia will also have a huge economic impact. Over the past decade, WrestleMania events have achieved over “$1.25 billion in cumulative economic impact” for the cities that held the event, according to a news release from WWE. This year, WrestleMania “generated a $206.5 million economic windfall for the Dallas/Arington region,” per the company’s report.

WrestleMania being in your city is a big deal. The event has a huge economic impact and WWE gives back to the community, which will certainly be the case for Philadelphia. The “City of Brotherly Love” is also the home of legendary wrestling promotion ECW, which was started by Paul Heyman. It will be interesting to see if they celebrate the wrestlers who competed in that promotion during the week. Overall, this is a very big deal for wrestling fans from the area, including myself, who get to experience a once-in-a-lifetime event.
