Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars. What the hell is going on?! I don’t usually watched the Oscars but it is all over Twitter so I had to check it out! Here’s a video of the incident if you missed it.
WOW. Some must be wondering what the joke was that Chris Rock told to make Will react like that. Don’t worry we have a video of that too.
At first, it seems that Will Smith laughs at that joke about Jada Pinkett Smith. I have a couple theories about it. Will Smith might have been so angry that he laughs at the absurdity and gall of Chris Rock before he goes up there and smacks him. OR, Will Smith genuinely thought the joke was funny until he saw how upset it made his wife, Jada. Then, he got angry and went up and smacked him. Either way, as you can see from the video, Will is visibly upset and lets Chris Rock know. Chris Rock’s joke refers to Jada’s alopecia. Too wordy and scientific for you? It means she’s going bald and she’s struggling with that.
So, Will Smith slaps Chris Rock. It wasn’t the worst joke in the world but I can see where Will Smith is testy about jokes around him or his wife. Jada’s controversy with her entanglement with August Aisina and her long lost love for Tupac have made Will often seem like a walking meme. Will Smith is a better man than me to stay with Jada and defend her like this.
The best part about this is: Will Smith won an award for Best Actor after this. Never a dull moment at the Oscar’s.
