The Will Levis Hype Train Is Out Of Control And It Can’t Be Explained

The days following the NFL Draft, you always get these wild mock drafts projecting outrageous things for the following year. This year was no different and Will Levis has become the diamond of the season. Some crazy guy at CBS Sports listed the Kentucky quarterback number one overall in his 2023 NFL Mock Draft.

Hey, I guess credit to him because the guy created a talking point? Since the mock, the internet has gone beserk about whether they are in or out on Levis becoming a real NFL franchise quarterback. This is all I know; the Will Levis hype train is out of control and it needs to stop.

I’ve already come up with my way too early list for the 2023 NFL Draft quarterback class. Levis was not on my top five list. Which in reality, should be viewed as this. The 2023 class is just way better than this past year so that’s not a slap in the face. Someone is going to emerge. It could be Tyler Van Dyke? It could be Anthony Richardson? Who knows. There are a ton of names I could list right now.

The only thing that’s certain is right now if the draft were held today, you would be out of your mind to not take Bryce Young with the first pick if you needed a quarterback. That’s the bottom line. You’re insane to not list him first overall. Good athlete, really quick feet, super instinctive, really good adapting when shit goes wrong, throws a good ball with a quick release. The guy is a stud.

We can talk about the pros and cons of Levis. The idea that a guy who couldn’t beat out Sean Clifford at Penn State is going first next year is outrageous. The guy we saw at Penn State couldn’t really play. Levis did play well for Kentucky a year but that guy has a LONG way to go before we start those first round conversations.

Levis instantly becomes must watch for the stock report post this Fall. We have learned that nothing is impossible but I’ll put the odds of being HIGH that the CBS Sports clown looks really bad a year from now.
