When Will Everyone Just Admit Denzel Mims Sucks?
Add it to the list. All those idiotic draft experts that drooled over Denzel Mims won’t admit they’re wrong. The more time goes on, the more embarrassing this situation becomes. I own Joe Douglas and if he had any common sense, he would have called me after he botched the 2020 NFL Draft. It’s time for everyone else to do the right thing and just admit Denzel Mims sucks.
Nobody wants Mims. Couldn’t even get a 4th rounder for a guy that was picked in the second two years ago. The trade market for receivers is out of control. It’s an arm race for these guys. You have to have weapons in the modern NFL. Teams are desperate to make sure they are stocked with receiver talent. They STILL couldn’t find a taker. Jalen Reagor blows and even he got dealt for picks. Nobody wanted Mims. What does that tell you?
Not only that but this situation keeps getting worse. Robert Saleh spoke with the media the other day and had to try to convince everyone that Mims wasn’t a hostage. Do we get how insane that is? Maybe Mims isn’t on the field because he’s just not that good?
Do the math. The Jets have Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Corey Davis who are all significantly better talents. Furthermore, the Jets also have Braxton Berrios for the slot. Mims can’t replicate the role that Berrios provides. There is no reason for Mims to get frustrated. Bottom line is he’s not good enough to be on the field.
Anybody that thought Denzel Mims was an interesting prospect coming out of Baylor just didn’t know how to scout. If you did your homework here, you knew how this was going to go. I just want to know when everyone else gets back to reality because this idea that Mims deserves playing time is Looney Tunes.
