FIFA doesn’t exist anymore. I still don’t get why the game needed to be rebranded when it’s the only thing EA Sports gets right but whatever. Is there room for optimism? Well, EA Sports released its first trailer for the brand new EA Sports FC 24 game. Give it a watch for yourself and let us know in the comments what you think.
I’ll gladly give some of my thoughts to fill out the word count.
A: I think this trailer lowkey stinks. It didn’t give us anything. FIFA is a really high bar to hit. This trailer gave me no confidence that they will bring the same level of product. The graphics are fine, I guess.
B: What does this trailer really show us? No cool career mode stuff. No game mode stuff in general. Did we learn anything about this new game? I didn’t. It’s a bunch of characters running around. Some legends with real faces are in there. That’s it. I got less excited for this game after watching the trailer.
C: It looks like we’re getting a more expansive look soon. July 13th at 2:30 pm EST there will be a live stream detailing more features in the game. This is the link for that in case you want to head over there for it.
D: They better give us Ted Lasso back in the game. If they take that feature out of the game, this game should be considered a disaster. Isn’t the whole point of games that you can expand upon them on the new versions? We need more Ted Lasso. It’s something the game actually got right last time. Thus far no indications of that.
The entire trailer stinks. Not even a picture of Messi or Ronaldo. I have no idea what fans can take away from this other than remaining in wait-and-see mode.
