Vince McMahon To Return To WWE; Potentially Selling The Company

Vince McMahon is making headlines yet again. Mr. McMahon has been absent from WWE since he retired in July of 2022. This was after he had multiple sexual misconduct allegations against him totaling over 12 million dollars in payments to multiple women. Since then, there has been some speculation on whether or not Mr. McMahon would ever return to the WWE. Well, it looks like we may have gotten our answer on that.

Vince McMahon Returns To WWE

According to the WSJ, Vince McMahon plans on returning to the WWE. Mr. McMahon had allegedly told people that he planned on making a comeback and that he received poor advice from those close to him about him stepping down. He believes now would be a good time to sell because the landscape of the media world is rapidly evolving. Furthermore, WWE posted over one billion dollars in revenue in 2021. Now the company reportedly has a value of over five billion dollars.

Vince McMahon reportedly expects to be able to regain his position of Executive Chairman in the company, however, he would need the approval of the board to do so. It’s unclear what will happen to Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan, who took over as co-CEOs in the company. Mr. McMahon has reportedly been cooperative with WWE’s board as he said he is willing to comply with any and all reimbursements for the reasonable expenses for the investigation. Mr. McMahon also reportedly believes there is a small window to start the sales of the company’s media rights. WWE’s weekly shows, Monday Night Raw and Friday Night Smackdown are reportedly going to be renegotiated soon.
