Vince McMahon retired from the WWE last year following a number of allegations made against him. McMahon’s son-in-law, Paul Levesque, F.K.A Triple H, took over as head of creative for WWE. Since Levesque took over, WWE’s product became significantly better.
However, a few months ago, McMahon forced his way back onto the board in WWE. This was because he wanted to pursue a sale of the company, but wouldn’t do it unless he was on the board. WWE recently announced that they were bought by Endeavor, the parent company of the UFC. The sale led to a lot of questions about McMahon’s involvement in the WWE moving forward.
There have been speculations about the involvement McMahon had in WWE creative since he returned to the company. Despite many people inside of the company saying he hasn’t been involved, fans and journalists had their speculations. After this past episode of Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania, things may have been made more clear.
Per PWInsider, McMahon was reportedly heavily involved in Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania. There were reportedly a lot of rewrites right before the show started. Changes reportedly came throughout the night as well and reportedly came straight from McMahon, who reportedly took over the show more and more as the night went on.
The morale from talent was reportedly significantly down as they saw things were as they were before Levesque took over creative. It remains to be seen if McMahon will return as head of creative full-time or if it was just because he was in town for WrestleMania. Furthermore, it’s unclear whether or not taking over was a part of the Endeavor deal.
