Vendetta Sports Media’s SimBull Six Week 5 Picks

Our partners at SimBull introduced a new contest called the “SimBull Six” and Karl Heiser and Adam Krieger will give you our picks each week. Last week we went an even 3-3, making us 12-12 on the season so far. But before we get into the week 5 picks, I have to set the record straight.

Karl and I switch off who writes the posts each week, so whoever does the NFL games does the post. Our season record might be 12-12, but Karl is 8-4 in his picks, Which makes me a disgusting 4-8 overall. Karl is too nice of a guy to ever point that out and even told me that I was due this week. I hope so, if you want to read more about King Karl click here, but into the actual SimBull Six picks.

No. 6 Oklahoma (-3.5) vs. No. 21 Texas (+3.5) – Karl’s Pick

Pick: Texas (+3.5)
I don’t trust Oklahoma one bit, and I have to pick against them here. The Sooners are due for a loss and haven’t looked convincing in any game this season. After keeping it close against a myriad of unranked teams, I think they struggle against the best opponent they will have played so far in Texas. I really think this could go either way, but I just don’t believe in Oklahoma right now.

No. 2 Georgia (-14.5) vs. No. 18 Auburn (+14.5) – Karl’s Pick

Pick: Georgia (-14.5)
Georgia is going to steamroll Auburn, plain and simple. They have scored at least 35 points in their last four games and have not surrendered any points in their last two. The Auburn Tigers have had close calls in back-to-back games against Georgia State and LSU. Georgia by a million.

No. 4 Penn State (+2) vs. No. 3 Iowa (-2) – Karl’s Pick

Toss-up game for me, but after watching the Hawkeyes bludgeon my Maryland Terrapins last week, I think they can beat Penn State by a field goal. Picking the Nittany Lions isn’t a bad pick either though, and they are definitely capable of winning by a touchdown. For what it’s worth, James Franklin is 0-8 in his coaching career in road games against top-10 teams. I just don’t know, man.

Los Angels Chargers (-1.5) vs. Cleveland Browns (+1.5) – Adam’s Pick

Pick: Browns +1.5
The Chargers are a great football team so this is a hard pick to make, but I am trusting the rushing game in Cleveland and taking the point. Baker Mayfield’s shoulder has me slightly concerned, but it is in his non-throwing arm, so it won’t make a huge difference (hopefully).

Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5) vs. Buffalo Bills (+2.5) – Adam’s Pick

Pick: Bills +2.5
Again, I hate this game from a gambling perspective. I can’t wait to watch every second of this game, BUT picking this game is essentially flipping a coin. In those situations, I always take the points and the Chiefs never cover the spread anyways so this is a f**k it game.

Baltimore Ravens (-7) vs. Indianapolis Colts (+7) – Adam’s Pick

Pick: Ravens -7
Of the three NFL games SimBull chose this week this is the most confident I am on any of the sides. That means it will be the worst loss of the three BUT, I think the Colts are capital F frauds. The Ravens are a good enough football team to beat up on inferior opponents like the Colts. I’ll lay the points and pray.
