Tua Tagovailoa Actually Feels Support From His HC, Wild.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa says that the support he is getting from new head coach Mike McDaniel and the rest of the coaching staff is unlike anything he has experienced before. Imagine having support from your head coach.
Tagovailoa was hosting a Luau in Miami for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Miami where he commented on McDaniel, OC Frank Smith, and QBs coach Darrell Bevell, praising them for showing up to something they knew was important to him. Tua would go on to add he hadn’t felt support like this before.
Ful quote via PFT via NBCSports.com:
“To be able to have our OC, my quarterbacks coach, our head coach here in support of this, I’ve never witnessed that,” Tagovailoa told CBS Miami.
Tua Tagovailoa is going to be under quite a lot of pressure this year to perform. From the new head coach to the team trading for superstar receiver Tyreek Hill, and Tua being such a high draft pick, expectations will be sky high for this Dolphins team. Miami has made a lot of other solid additions this offseason, especially addressing the offensive line by adding Terron Armstead in free agency. Miami appears to be on the come-up, but it all hangs on Tagovailoa.
This can only be a good thing for the Dolphins and Tua Tagovailoa. Actually having a head coach and coaching staff support you will only boost his confidence. Plus, all the new additions to this offense will certainly help. It’s no secret that the organization failed to show Tua the proper support before, but now all the pieces are in place for Tua to keep turning that corner and show why the Dolphins selected him 5th overall in the 2020 NFL Draft.
