Tre Harris 2025 NFL Draft Profile

This is a stinky wide receiver draft but Tre Harris has a chance to maybe change that narrative. We’re going over the key deets that you need to know about the Ole Miss wide out so have a seat and maybe say thank you once in a while for me typing all these out. With that said, here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Harris!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 5, Week 6, Week 7, Week 11, Week 13

Harris, 23, was a two star athlete coming out of high school. In high school, he was primarily a quarterback, throwing touchdowns to Malik Nabers. The Lafayette, Louisiana, native spent three years at Louisiana Tech before finishing up with two years at Ole Miss. Harris was a First-team All-Conference USA his final year with L Tech and made Third-team All-SEC despite missing five games this past year.

The 2024 season is where Harris went to another level. He was a tick under 1,000 yards the prior season, but he ripped off 60 grabs for 1,030 yards, and seven scores. Yes, that’s 17.2 yards per catch. Yes, that’s also while missing five games and never really behind healthy at all.

I think the biggest difference this past year was the fact that Lane Kiffin kept dialing up his number. Kiffin can’t help himself. He’s a go for it on 4th down guy to a fault, and Harris was the target on those calls. It’s plays like this that will make you fall in love with this play. Harris fits the Ole Miss mold. He’s a height, weight, speed guy except a tier down from the AJ Brown’s who came through the program previously. Harris checks in at 6-foot-2, 205, and ran a 4.54 during the 40 at the Combine. I was hoping for faster and I’m a bit disappointed he skipped all of the on-field stuff. That’s the part he should have thrived out, so I don’t really get the strategy there. The jumping numbers were really good, though.

Has a basketball background and the route tree isn’t exactly expansive. Post route, slant, double move… and that might be it. Has some broken tackle ability and isn’t weak. If you watch him, it’s the same thing over and over and over again. I also wonder maybe there’s more here but Lane Kiffin does what he does schematically, so you’re not going to find it. On the flip side, how many times was he wide open because of Kiffin? He’s the number one player in the class with 5.12 yards per route run.

I like this player. I’m just not 100% sure what you’re getting here. It feels like a guy who has a wide range of outcomes. He’s built, can make contested catches, and has a knack for making explosive plays. But he’s also 23 and lit up significantly worse competition at the start of the year.

I think Tre Harris is a round 3-4 type of player. It may take him some time to crack the rotation, but he has all the tools to develop into a positive contributor at the next level. He’s not DK Metcalf, but he’s way more polished than Jonathan Mingo (who I didn’t like at all and am not surprised he sucks).
