Trader Joe’s Is The 1.01 Of Grocery Stores And It’s Not Close

I’ve hyped up NFL players before. I’ve hyped up TV shows before. I’ve hyped up albums before. I’ve even hyped up apps before. And now it’s time for a grocery store. This ain’t just any other grocery story though. It’s TJ’s. Trader Joe’s, or as I like to call it: the 1.01 of grocery stores. For you non-fantasy football players, that just means the first overall pick. Because that’s what TJ’s is in my mind and what it should be in yours too. First and nothing comes close to touching it.

Let’s start off with the fact that it’s such a comforting store to walk into. It’s not massive. It’s cozy and gives off the vibe of visiting a local little farmers market that just happens to also be a franchise with revenue in the billions. I don’t want to get all artsy on you but the place is cute. Feels homely. Their employees are always welcoming and pleasant. It’s the type of place that makes grocery shopping feel like an aesthetic trip instead of a chore and as a 17 year-old dude I kinda rock with that.

The best part about the size of Trader Joe’s is the accessibility as you’ll never take too long to find what you’re searching for. No one wants to spend hours buying groceries and by becoming a TJ’s stan, you’ll never have to. The other great part about their accessibility is they make it easy on the consumer because they’re very picky with the products that actually make it to their shelves. You won’t see 50 different types of pasta sauce which makes your decision a whole lot easier.

The vibes and accessibility are great but those two things coupled with the incredibly quality and diversity of the products that are set at reasonable prices are what makes Trader Joe’s a cut above the rest. You’ll find all the variety you need for any possible situation. Whether you’re looking for organic fruits and vegetables, lean meats, snacks for the kids, all sorts of condiments and sauces, or even Kombucha (WHY?), TJ’s has it.

On top of that you see food from every part of the world represented in their aisles to fulfill any of your cravings. You name it, they’ve got it. Sushi, Jollof Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala, Pad Thai and Dumplings are all examples of products you can find at Trader Joe’s, another trait that makes them unique.

Lastly, one of the best parts about the store that’s helped them develop their cult-like following is their constant flow of new unique items that are often seasonal. Whether it’s their Tangerine Ice Cream Bars in the summer or their Pumpkin Cereal Bars in the fall, Trader Joe’s constantly unloads refreshing products to give you something new to try and keep you interested in coming back again.

Trader Joe’s has everything you could want in a grocery store. High quality products. High quality ambience. High quality market. I recommend the store to anyone. I don’t care if you’re a 70 year old grandma, a 19 year old broke college kid, or a 40 year-old mom of 3. Trader Joe’s doesn’t discriminate and will have something for you. If you don’t go there already, say adios to your favorite mediocre store and do yourself a favor by going to TJ’s instead.
