Top 2025 Prospect Bryce Underwood Flips From LSU To Michigan

It’s been a wild day for the class of 2025, as the number two quarterback Julian Lewis flipped his commitment, but he was not the only signal caller to do so. The Michigan kid is staying in the state, as the top prospect in the country Bryce Underwood announced today he would be flipping his commitment from LSU to Michigan. For Sherrone Moore, this couldn’t come at a better time as the team is 5-5 on the season, but now sit ninth in the country for the 2025 recruiting class.

It appears that Dave Portnoy might have been serious about his words of wanting to help Michigan get their QB, as Bryce Underwood solves all those problems at the position for at least the next three years. Underwood will undoubtedly become the day-one starter in 2025, as he brings much more upside than the rest of the guys on the roster. Underwood becomes the second-highest-ranked recruit in Michigan history, behind Rashan Gary. The Wolverines needed to make a major splash in this recruiting cycle, especially at the QB position, and they have done just that.

Bryce Underwood is a winner. He took the Belleville HS program as a Freshman and led them to a state championship. He would go back-to-back the following year and made the state title game in his Junior year. His squad would be outed in the Quarterfinals this season, but not before he landed himself all over the Michigan record books. Underwood has the size you want (6’3.5, 205 lbs) as well as the intangibles that make him so desirable. Plus pocket awareness, very mobile, good to very good arm talent, and has 48 starts under his belt. Best of all? He will be turning 20 during his Junior year.

Make no mistake about it, Bryce Underwood *should* come in and completely change the trajectory of Michigan football. Questions swirled around this program once J.J. McCarthy departed for the NFL, and it only took one year to find the next guy up. Underwood will start as a true freshman, and I believe he could be a real difference-maker right out of the gate.
