Three UFC Fights That Need To Happen in 2021!
UFC matchmaking has been below average in recent months. Dana White is a master at making money fights, but what fights does the MMA world want in 2021?

Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou
This is a no-brainer, as it would be the biggest UFC heavyweight fight of all time: the greatest UFC fighter to ever live in Jon Jones against the most physically intimidating fighter in the history of UFC in Francis Ngannou. Despite the insane amount of money the UFC would make from this fight, Dana White seems apprehensive about paying Jones the money he deserves, but if Dana White writes Jones a blank check and this fight happens, I would take Jones by decision.
Max Holloway vs. Alexander Volkanovski 3
The trilogy between Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski is a must. Volkanovski clearly won the first fight to take the belt, and then Holloway was robbed in the second fight. A fight between these two is the only logical way to determine who is the best featherweight in the world, and not only would it help with unanswered questions surrounding both fighters, but the fight itself would surely be an all-out war. Between Volkanovski’s wrestling and Holloway’s pace, this fight would be a clinic in great MMA technique.
Kamaru Usman vs. Colby Covington 2
Colby Covington is the only man to give Kamaru Usman a legitimate fight in the last 12 months, and we need another brawl. After breaking Covington’s jaw at UFC 245, Kamaru Usman has run through the entire welterweight division – nobody can stand in front of that man without being mauled. Even though Covington had his jaw broken, the fight was extremely close, and if Usman had not knocked Covington out in the fifth round, the fight could have been a split or majority decision in Usman’s favor. Not only would this fight make Dana White a bunch of money, but it would also help reignite the rivalry between Covington and Usman.
Honorable Mention:
Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko 2 would be the biggest women’s UFC fight ever. Shevchenko has repeatedly said she does not want to move up weight classes to fight, but I am holding out hope that it will happen eventually.
Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 3. Even casual UFC fans know how important Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 1 and 2 were for the sport. A trilogy fight between the two would most likely be the biggest fight in the history of the UFC.
A Khabib fight. Khabib returning to fight for a chance to go 30-0 would be electric. It really would not matter who he is fighting either, because he would just dominate them anyway. I love Khabib and I think one last fight inside of a packed stadium would be amazing to watch.
