Terrance Ferguson 2025 NFL Draft Profile

Want to know more about Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson? Duh… that’s why you’re here, so let’s agree that there’s no time to waste with intro paragraph cheese. Without further delay, here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Ferguson!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 6Week 8Rose Bowl, Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3)

Ferguson, 22, was a four-sport athlete in high school competing in football, basketball, track and field, and lacrosse. During the 2021 cycle, he was listed as a four star recruit. That includes being ranked as the 10th overall tight end and second overall player in the state of Colorado. He spent all four years with the Ducks.

The Littleton, Colorado native was a part time starter the first two years and then really took over the following two years. 2024 was his best year reeling in 43 receptions for 591 yards and three touchdowns. He actually had 11 combined touchdowns in 2022 and 23. He’s also the number one leader in Oregon history at the tight end position.

There are definitely some red flags. He’s a zero as a blocker, he really was never asked to run hard routes down the field (11.5 career YPC mark says a lot), and there is an overall clumsiness about his game. If you watched Oregon this past year, you saw this guy routinely falling over on the ground for no reason whatsoever. Oh, and he’s probably not the best tight end on Oregon, but we’ll talk about why that’s the case next year.

I thought the Combine was alright. It wasn’t perfect, but 4.63 speed works, and he looked far better than several others in the class. The guy is clearly a real player. I’m just not sure we’re talking about someone who is an impact tilt the field difference maker. Kinda looks like Mason Taylor physically checking in at 6-foot-5, 247, except worse in the contested catch department.

The verticality to his game is definitely there. Just needs to attack the ball better. A 39 inch vert feels pretty accurate for who he is. Can high point. Just needs to finish more and add more polish to his game.

I think Terrance Ferguson is a round 4-5 type of guy. I like him. I just don’t think he’s one of the elite options at the position in the class. You will see where I officially have him when the tight end rankings are released.
