SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: University of Nebraska

Welcome to Vendetta’s SimBull CFB full team breakdowns, where the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs for their share value on SimBull and next up is the University of Nebraska. Check out the last breakdown here.

2020 Record: 3-5 (3-5 BIG 10)

2021 Projected Win Total (via MGM): 6

On The Field

The Scott Frost experiment has been a failure, to say the least. After building the UCF program from the ground up, Frost took on a new challenge at Nebraska. entering his fourth year, Frost has a record of 12-20 since taking over the Cornhuskers and they have not been remotely competitive. QB Adrian Martinez has become the lifeline of this offense, which is not a good thing. Martinez not only has 1,000 passing yards through four games, but he is also Nebraska’s leading rusher.

As their schedule transitions to mainly BIG 10 games, Nebraska could be in for a long rest of the season. Since Frost has arrived, Nebraska has fielded some of the softest teams in college football. In the BIG 10, if you want to win games, you can’t be soft. I don’t think Nebraska is physical enough to compete with an Ohio State or even Iowa.

In The Market

Nebraska’s share price sits at $34.10 making it the third-cheapest buy in the BIG 10. The Cornhuskers deserve some credit for their narrow loss against Oklahoma. Nebraska had no business competing with the Sooners and only lost by one touchdown. The most important game for investors has to be against Michigan. These are two historic programs that have been down in the dumps recently and are both desperate for a win. If Nebraska keeps it close then Husker fans could look forward to next season. If they get pushed around, you might want to sell that stock.
