Shannon Sharpe rips Ja Morant for saying weapon was a ‘toy gun’

The Ja Morant story continues to unwind more and more. With doing so, Morant claimed his viral video of him holding a gun was a ‘Toy gun’, leading to Shannon Sharpe ripping him for it. Via New York Post.

Best believe if Sharpe could sit down and give Morant a lecture, he would make him shape up.

A report from “The Breakfast Club” surfaced about Morant’s gun being a toy, so Sharpe discussed Morant’s situation with “Undisputed” partner Skip Bayless.

Sharpe would go onto rant for around three minutes with Bayless on the young Grizzlies superstar’s situation, saying it is a lack of responsibility.

“Therein lies the problem again, Skip, you see? Here we are again,” Sharpe said, via the New York Post. “Ja Morant refuses to accept accountability and responsibility for his actions. Again, it’s somebody else. Somebody from the backseat passed up a toy gun.

“What grown-ass man you know playing with toy guns? And listening to NBA YoungBoy and listening to that kind of gangster rap. With a toy gun.

“Again, he will not accept responsibility for what he did,” Sharpe said. “He will not own up to the accountability that should be bestowed upon him. It was a toy gun now, Skip? Really? Really, Ja’s camp? This is what you all want us to believe?  That was a toy gun?”

This would be Morant’s second suspension for a gun incident in the past year, as the NBA and Grizzlies suspended him for flashing a gun in a strip club.

“Ja’s camp, come on, you all better than this,” Sharpe said about the toy gun claim. “Just accept the responsibility.

“You come out there with a half-hearted apology that seemed like it was written by one of these AI services. Skip, I just can’t.”
