Sean McVay Finally Calls Out Jared Goff
I swear Jared Goff is bulletproof. Somehow Goff has been downright terrible and never gets criticized. This is a five-year running joke. Goff stinks week in and week out and never gets blamed. The Rams are being carried by Sean McVay and their head coach finally did the unthinkable.
Someone FINALLY called out Jared Goff and it was his own head coach. McVay who has never really called Goff out said he needs to do a better job at protecting the football.
“It’s taking care of the football,” he said, via the team’s official transcript. “Our quarterback has to take better care of the football.”
“We’re not taking good enough care of the football and that’s something that’s got to change, otherwise I’m going to continue to sit up here and say this week in and week out,” McVay said. “It just can’t continue to happen.”
Goff is coming off a real stinker against the 49ers. The Rams starting quarterback finished the game with three giveaways and fewer than 20 completions for the first time in his career. Goff has also thrown at least two interceptions in three of his last four games.
We know the deal with Goff at this point. Well, the people who know football know the deal. McVay has squeezed every ounce of talent Goofball has. The Rams continue to tops the play action percentage leader boards. Goff also continues to be one of the worst quarterbacks in the league after his first read.
The Rams are 7-4 on the season and it’s been another mediocre season for the man know as Jared Goof. A 16-10 TD to INT ratio with the Rams supporting cast isn’t close to acceptable. Sean McVay finally acknowledged Jared Goff is a problem.
