Sasha Banks Reportedly Believed To Be A Free Agent Ahead Of Non-WWE Event In January
Sasha Banks has been absent from the WWE for quite some time. She was last seen in the company in May and hasn’t wrestled a match since. Instead, she has been having success outside of professional wrestling. She’s found success in Hollywood and even started her own company. Banks has shown she is much more than a professional wrestler, but fans everywhere are speculating when and if Sasha Banks will return to the ring. Well, we may have gotten some very interesting news regarding her current status.
Is Sasha Banks A Free Agent?
According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has reportedly confirmed that Sasha Banks will be appearing at NJPW WrestleKiongdom 17 on January 4th. Banks appearing at WrestleKingdom 17 reportedly isn’t going through WWE. Furthermore, NJPW reportedly believes that Sasha Banks will be a free agent for the event. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter wrote “if the appearance isn’t blocked legally by WWE, it means she will be a free agent by that date.” So it is going to be interesting to see how this situation ends up.
Sasha Banks is undoubtedly one of the best women’s wrestlers of the last decade. She has done so much for women’s wrestling and wrestling in general. It’s hard to even imagine Banks in a company that isn’t WWE. But the dream matches for her outside of WWE are countless. So it is going to be pretty surreal seeing her at an NJPW event if she does attend it. Furthermore, if Banks is a free agent in January, it will be extremely interesting to see where she ends up. Banks is one of the best women’s wrestlers on the planet, so wherever she does wrestle, she will have the support of the fans.
