Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes WWE Creative Plans Revealed?-Rumor
Roman Reigns is on top of the professional wrestling world right now amid one of the best runs in over 30 years. He is breaking records left and right and his historic title reign does not seem to be coming to an end any time soon.
At one point, fans thought Cody Rhodes was going to be the person to end his reign. But following his loss to Reigns at WrestleMania 39, that idea is slowly fading away. Now, with Cody Rhodes on Raw and Roman Reigns on SmackDown, it makes the idea even more difficult. However, a rumor floating around may have cleared up some of the speculation.
WrestleMania 40
As it stands right now, WWE reportedly has no plans of doing Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, per The Wrestle Blog. The idea of the two men squaring off for the second time was pitched by some, but those talks have reportedly come to an end. There have also reportedly been talks that Reigns could defend his title at the premium live event that WWE is reportedly going to hold in India in September.
As it stands right now, Cody Rhodes is still trying to finish his story, but there have been some speedbumps following his loss to Reigns at WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar turned on Cody Rhodes on the Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 39. Since then, the two men have been at war. They first faced off at WWE Backlash where Rhodes got the victory. However, Lesnar cost Rhodes a chance at the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
The two had their second match at WWE Night of Champions, but Rhodes wrestled the match with a broken arm and ultimately passed out. Since then, Lesnar has yet to be seen and Rhodes is facing Dominik Mysterio at Money in the Bank.
