There are a lot of dopes in sports media today. Rex Ryan is making a run as the king idiot in sports TV. Rex Ryan had a viral moment today ripping Cowboys wide receiver. Cooper re-signed with Dallas this offseason on a 5-year contract worth $100 million. It’s a big price tag but Dallas had no choice here. Cooper is a stud and they had to pay him in order to keep top tier weapons around Dak Prescott.

The former Jets and Bills head coach apparently does not agree (there’s a reason why he’s a *FORMER* coach). Rex Ryan went on a rant calling Amari Cooper a “disappearing act” and a “turd”:

Here’s what I don’t want to come across trying to say. Nobody should be offended by this. Sports media people should have opinions. It’s hard to have this one but I don’t hate Rex for getting his feelings across. This take by Ian Rappaport is childish.

Now, this is what I’m getting across. Rex Ryan is allowed to have his opinion as long as we can recognize it’s a stupid one. Cooper is one of the best wide receivers in football. He’s coming off a 1,189 yard, 8 touchdown season and played in all 16 games. Cooper also has 4.42 speed and is one of the best route runners the sport has to offer.

Tell you what, Rex. Go look at the stats for Dak Prescott before Amari Cooper showed up and after he showed up. What about Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers who were the 2 seed in the NFC. Did he disappear for this one?

You already know Rex Ryan hasn’t watched more than 2 games on Amari Coooper all year. He has that classic dumb guy take where he sat out one play and will blame the entire Cowboys season on Cooper. That’s fine. The numbers don’t lie. Cooper’s impact in Dallas is extraordinary. There’s a reason why Stephen Jones mocked the Raiders for making the trade. Cooper has been great for Dallas.
