2020 NFL Draft
What’s worse? Drafting Tavon Austin 8th overall or not having a first round pick since 2016? The Rams need a strong 2020 NFL Draft so let’s head into their war room! (Al Bello/Getty Images)

The Los Angeles Rams Super Bowl window is OVER. Jared Goff got his money and the roster is filled with expensive, declining stars. The Rams are paying Todd Gurley buckets of money to play for someone else. Brandin Cooks probably should retire. The roster in general got picked a part during free agency. Things are not good. Let’s head inside the Rams 2020 NFL Draft war room to see what they could do to try to turn things around.

I haven’t gotten to the best part yet. The Rams have just 6 picks in 2020. None of which are inside the top 50. The highest picks the Rams have sit at 52, 84, and 104. LA will need to hit home runs in order to save the day.

Guard, center, guard are the big holes on the Rams. If the Rams want Jared Goff to improve from last year, that’s area number one to attack. I have the 3 guys right here for LA. Lloyd Cushenberry of LSU in the second round, Nick Harris in the third, and Ben Bredeson in the back end of the 3rd.

One player I want to dive into further is Harris. He’s a perfect zone center and will do well in a heavy play action system. LA will hit that home run with Harris. He looked unbelievable at the combine. Easy mover, stout, and able to change directions on a dime. Big fan of his. If I need a center, Harris is very high on my list.

The Rams have other needs. Replacing Todd Gurley would be a start. Finding a number two and three corner would be smart. Finding a replacement for Dante Fowler is a must. Same goes for Cory Littleton. Sean McVay is a really good coach but the Rams need to hit this draft out of the park if they want to stay relevant.
