Remember When Every NFL Draft Analyst Had The Same Opinion On Kenyon Green?

Remember When Every NFL Draft Analyst Had The Same Opinion On Kenyon Green?

Can Jeff Stoutland and the Eagles revive the career of Kenyon Green? If you’re looking for reasons to be optimistic, look no further than the pre-draft opinions the former Texas A&M guard had coming out of college. That’s exactly the type of article NBC Sports Philadelphia put together recently to remind people how highly regarded Green was during the draft process.

Except that’s not really the topic that needs to be talked about. In reality, it’s a continuation of the article I wrote recently about the NFL Draft community having no balls. Everybody in the NFL Draft community is terrified of competition. They all think the same. They all have the same opinion. Everybody is scared to stray from the pack because they follow the leader and bring nothing to the table.

I really encourage you to read that article in the first paragraph from NBC Sports Philly because it epitomizes everything that I just talked about. They list out a bunch of mainstream people and it’s basically copy and paste of the same wording rewritten eight different ways.

I reached out to their media network to get my pre-draft thoughts on Green added into the article. They predictably ignored me because it clearly doesn’t fit their narrative. I’ve never been a fan of Kenyon Green. Another win for scout Trey. Here is your proof. Also, if you watched the Combine that year, it was pretty obvious that he was going to suck. It’s more evidence that I’m just way ahead of the industry in terms of accuracy on the NFL Draft but I know how this works. When I’m right, which is 98.7% of the time, you go silent.

I just want to know why we’re advertising analysts who suck at this? Well, I know why. It pushes the agenda of having hope for Green. Trey speaks the truth and I’m well aware most of you seek what you want to hear, not what you need to hear.

Maybe the Eagles will turn his career around. They did so for Mekhi Becton who parlayed a successful year into a bigger deal with the Chargers. I just wouldn’t count on it mainly because a lot of Green’s issue are that he’s a bum in the head. I wouldn’t have made this deal sending CJ Gardner-Johnson the other way when you know without a shadow of a doubt Green’s 5th year option will be declined.
