After dealing a second round pick to acquire the former Bears linebacker, Baltimore made sure to keep Smith in purple for the foreseeable future. Keeping Smith was imperative as he has made a huge impact on Patrick Queen as well. When Queen is your number two linebacker, you’re pretty strong in the middle of your defense.

Eric DeCosta has his fair share of great and ugly moves. This one will go down in the win column. Smith is the best linebacker the franchise has had since Ray Lewis and continues to sport the purple well since being added. Some guys look good in purple. Smith is one of them.
