Before I begin this blog… shut up, Dr. Fauci. There will be football. Go make up your mind about whether masks work or not. When training camp opens up, we now know who will be on Hard Knocks this year. For the first time ever, HBO and NFL Films is doubling up. The Rams and Chargers will be the Hard Knock teams this year.
I like this idea. Last year Antonio Brown being an idiot is the only thing that gave us entertaining moments with the Raiders. Hopefully we get some more this year now that there are two teams to work with. This was a smart idea considering who knows how much access media reporters will get this year.
With the Rams, they were on Hard Knocks not too long ago. The last time they were, Jeff Fisher was the head coach. There should be some good storylines. I want to see Cam Akers and Van Jefferson as rookies. It will be cool to see Sean McVay behind the scenes. Jared Goof is still there but whatever.
With the Chargers, there is so much more. Anthony Lynn is a real dummy. I want to see just how dumb this guy is. Hard Knocks should provide real insight. The bar for Lynn is Hue Jackson and we all know that Hard Knocks made Hue look really bad two years ago. Plus we get to see Justin Herbert control the room. I’d love to see something on Austin Ekeler too because he’s a great story of an undrafted player from a no name school carving out a real future for himself.
