In a shocking turn of events linebacker Bruce Irvin has signed with the Oakland Raiders. Irvin spurned Seattle Seahawks to sign with the silver and black. NFL media insider Ian Rapoport was the first to report the news.
Oakland entered the day with 60 million in salary cap space. To go along with the Irvin signing the team has already added guard Kelechi Osemele who is now the highest paid guard ever. The Jaguars, Falcons, and Cardinals were the other known suitors.
In 2015 Irvin recorded 36 tackles to go along with 5.5 sacks. Ken Norton’s presence on Oakland’s coaching staff may of had something to do with this move. The signing creates a powerful pass rushing duo with Khalil Mack on the other side.
