The Oakland Raiders have made the first major splash of free agency. Kelchi Osemele will leave the Baltimore Ravens and head west. NFL Network’s Rand Getlin was the first to report the news.

Ian Rapoport added later that the details of the contract are worth more than 11 million annually. Osemele, 26, played both tackle and guard for Baltimore last season and has to be considered a huge get for Oakland. The Raiders had a ton of salary cap space so Osemele figured to be the team’s number one target. Osemele was the 2nd highest graded run blocker according to Pro Football Focus showing his true worth.

For Baltimore Osemele leaves a huge hole that is likely to be fillied by the league’s smartest player John Urschel. Baltimore was one of my free agency loser’s for the inability to keep Osemele.

*Update: Osemele’s deal is worth 5 years, $60 million. The deal is $12 million annually and $20 million in the first year.
