Princely Umanmielen 2025 NFL Draft Profile

No shot Jackson Law or Chickster has any idea how to pronounce Princely Umanmielen, but beyond that fact, we’re here to have a quick chat about what the Ole Miss edge rusher brings to the table. Screw intro paragraphs and let’s just get to the good stuff, so here is your 2025 NFL Draft profile on Umanmielen!

NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 13, Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game

Umanmielen, 22, was a four star prospect out of the state of Texas. That includes being ranked the 11th best defensive end and 42nd ranked player in the state during the 2020 cycle. After spending four years with Florida, Umanmielen finished up his final campaign with the Rebels.

I know this part is going to trigger people, but it’s the truth. Ole Miss had an unreal defensive line. In terms of overall talent, this was one of the better rosters in the country. People should probably understand that when talking about Jaxson Dart, but it’s a totally different conversation. Point being, it’s this unit that got Ole Miss to contention, not the QB.

Umanmielen was a pretty good player at Florida, but took things to another level in 2024. This past year, Umanmielen registered 10.5 sacks and made First-team All-SEC. He’s a player who’s steadily gotten better over the years, and the year prior, he made Second-team All-SEC with seven sacks.

Definitely a very weird player to talk about. In the stock notes, I mostly wanted to talk about Walter Nolen (profile) and came onto Umanmielen late. More of a finesse player who doesn’t have elite power. At the Combine, the leaping numbers were really good, and the pure speed was stinky. Not that he’s slow but the twitched up element just isn’t here.

Another positive here is the frame. Umanmielen checks in at 6-foot-4, 244, and nearly 34 inch arms. He also has 28 QB hits each of the last two seasons and knows how to get to the quarterback. Not sure you’re getting a great run defender, but this is definitely someone who can help in rushing situations right away.

I think Princely Umanmielen is a round 3-4 type of guy. He’s not as thick as this player but the hope here has to be somewhere in the Pernell McPhee spectrum where he develops into a real dude in the second half of his rookie contract.
