Week 15 of the NFL season is here as we continue with our weekly player prop picks. This week’s slate features all 32 teams with the bye weeks over and three games on Saturday. Last week our player prop plays went 3-2 as both Dalvin Cook and Tony Pollard fell short. Let’s move forward and profit again this week. With that being said, let’s take a look at the player prop plays for Week 15 of the NFL season.
Deshaun Watson spent a long, lengthy suspension to start the year, on top of the entire season he missed last year in Houston. With just 131 yards passing against a bad Texans defense in his debut two weeks ago, Watson appeared to have a lot of rust to knock off. Last week, Watson bounced back throwing for 276 yards against Cincinnati.
This weekend, Watson will make his home debut in front of the Cleveland fans against the Baltimore Ravens. This season, Baltimore has allowed 249 passing yards per game, which ranks as the 26th-best in the league. However, the Ravens’ run defense is legit as they rank as the second-best in yards allowed on the ground. This line is simply too low for Watson. I could see Watson hit this number pretty early in the game.
Darius Slayton has been Mr. Consistent so far this season for the Giants. Slayton has only hit the under for this line three times this season. Two of those games were in Week 1 and Week 3 of the season. Last week Slayton had 42 receiving yards. In his last five games, Slayton is averaging 75 yards on six targets per game.
This weekend, Slayton gets a matchup against Washington, who he recently faced two weeks ago. In that game, Slayton caught six of his eight targets for 90 yards. Washington hasn’t been terrible this season in terms of pass defense. The Commanders allow 200 yards per game which is the 8th best in the NFL. However, if Daniel Jones targets Slayton like he usually does, Slayton should find his way past this projection once again.
The first overall pick in most fantasy leagues has been a disappointment with the expectations surrounding him. However, Jonathan Taylor has quietly been better in recent weeks. We’ve seen his rushing attempts rise in the past four games which have also boosted the number of yards Taylor has rushed for. One big factor in the rise of touches and production has been interim head coach Jeff Saturday, even though Parks Frazier is the one calling plays.
This weekend the Colts travel to Minnesota. The Vikings this year are averaging 116 yards per game, but only 100 in their last three games. If Indianapolis sticks to their script again this week and gives their best player the ball, Taylor should be able to hit this line while being fresh from a bye last week.
Zonovan Knight was the perfect waiver wire find right before the fantasy football playoffs began. The undrafted rookie running back from NC State has been a real factor for the Jets’ offense the past three weeks. Knight has pushed former Jaguars running back, James Robinson, off the game-day roster. In three games this season, Knight has been a dual-threat back, rushing for 230 yards on 46 carries and also catching 10 passes for 68 yards.
New York will welcome the red-hot Detroit Lions into town this weekend. However, it should be a favorable matchup for Knight. Detroit ranks as the 26th-best run defense this season, even with their recent three games stretch where they would rank as the 8th-best run defense.
Another factor that would come into play would be the quarterback change. Mike White was ruled out which means Zach Wilson is to be back under center. Knight is easily one of my favorite player props plays for the Week 15 of the NFL season.
Tampa Bay has experienced a disappointing season so far after 14 weeks, even with them somehow in first place in the NFC South. Their offense this season has solely been Tom Brady chucking the ball around all game. Brady has averaged 44.5 passing attempts per game this season and has eclipsed 50 attempts in both of their past two games.
With Cincinnati coming to town, expect the same thing again this weekend. Tampa’s running game has been a non-factor and it seems like they are playing from behind. It’s pretty black and white from my viewpoint. Brady is going to throw the ball and throw it a lot. This is one of my favorite player props plays this week and also all season.
Let’s hope for another profitable week. You can either tail or fade these plays at your own risk. Make sure you come back next week to see how we did with our player props for Week 15. Also, come back to check out our favorite player props for Week 16 of the NFL season.
