Last year, I thought the Pascal Siakam’s Max deal was a reach and quite premature. I thought I was wrong because he was playing well for most of the season. Then came the playoffs in the Orlando Bubble, he disappeared. I don’t care, if I give you a max contract, that’s automatic code for we are relying on you in the playoffs or just team success. It’s obvious now that Pascal Siakam is not that guy you give a max contract to.
Now, I won’t sit here and act like Pascal Siakam isn’t a great player, he is. But, people are higher than they should be. Karl-Anthony Towns is a great player, it doesn’t mean he’s not overrated. That guy isn’t a winner and it shows. There are levels to this shit and Siakam isn’t at that level. The Raptors have one of the best squads in the NBA I feel like. They have Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, and solid role players. Siakam supposed to be the man and he’s just not.
You can show me stats or whatever you need to try to convince me that I’m wrong. I saw what I saw, and that was Spicy P taking a Spicy dump in the playoffs. Some guys don’t deserve max contracts and Pascal was one of them. I would rather have OG Anunoby and his contract and if you disagree, you’re just kinda dumb, no offense. Until he gets paid a lot less than his contract or goes through some unreal improvement, his contract makes him overrated. Now he’s stinking it up this year. If you think this max contract was smart, then you’re not smart either.
