Rumor on the street is the Raiders could have had Tom Brady if they wanted him. Soooo? Your point is?
Can we be totally honest; Tom Brady wouldn’t have moved the needle for the Raiders and was way better off signing with Tampa. Brady should be happy things went the way they did.
Are the Raiders winning the Super Bowl at any point over the last two years with Tom Brady?
Are three (maybe four?) years of Tom Brady worth getting rid of Derek Carr for?
The answer to both of those questions is a resounding no.
Tom Brady won the Super Bowl right out of the shoot with the Bucs. Don’t tell me that’s happening with the Raiders. Remember the Bucs are the smart franchise. They got Devin White instead of Clelin Ferrel. They have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. The Raiders can’t match that or couldn’t at the time. Also, is Gronk really taking a back seat to Darren Waller or was he just a better fit in Tampa?
Also, Derek Carr is no bum. I’m not moving off Carr for short term Brady. That shouldn’t be deemed as outrageous. In fact, Brady just had his worst season ever with New England and looked closer to the end than ever before. Carr is very much a top end quarterback and is also 13 years younger. Brady wouldn’t have put up the numbers in Vegas that he did with Tampa. There is just no shot. The Bucs had an elite support system.
There is no reason to blame the Raiders here. This all worked out how it should have. It’s actually ridiculous Brady is bitter over the Carr thing because he would have been an idiot to sign there instead of with Tampa.
