The NFL week 7 betting lines are out and it’s time to place your bets. Last week was rough to say the lease. I broke even, and Andrew won one less bet than I did. It was a tough scene out there last week, but here’s to the both of us (but really just me) bouncing back this week.

Results Through Week 6

Jackson: 53-37

Andrew: 39-35

Jackson

New York Giants @ Philadelphia

PHI -4.5

Honestly could not be a worse matchup to start the week. Both teams are horrible and part of the worst division in football. I have slightly more faith than the Eagles than the Giants, so I’m rolling with them.

Detroit @ Atlanta

ATL -2.5

Again, two teams that suck but have the ability to put up some big numbers. The only thing Atlanta has going for it is its offense. This may even be a game to bet the over on total points. As for the money line, go with the Falcons.

Cleveland @ Cincinnati

CIN+ 3

The Browns got exposed last week against the Steelers. Last time these two faced off I bet on the Bengals and it paid off. This time, the line is much closer and I think the Bengals make it a very interesting contest.

Pittsburgh @ Tennessee

PIT +1

This may be the best matchup of the week, and is defiantly one of two must-watch games. Both teams are still undefeated, and have had excellent play from all their playmakers. I give the slight edge to the Steelers based on their defense, but the game could honestly go either way. We’ll see if the injury to Devin Bush has any effect on the Steelers defense. Again, this is a MUST WATCH game.

Carolina @ New Orleans

CAR +7.5

Drew Breese has been on and off this year. The performance of the Saints all depends on their playmakers. I don’t think Carolina wins, but I think they can slow the Saints down enough to keep it within the line.

Buffalo @ New York Jets

BUF -12.5

Not much to say here. Bills have a bounce back game against an easy opponent.

Dallas @ Washington

DAL -1

Again, two horrible teams, but Dallas has the better players on the offensive side. I’ll roll with Dallas with this one.

Green Bay @ Houston

GB -3.5

Green Bay fell apart last week against Tampa Bay. Personally, I didn’t see it as anything more than a bad day at the office for Rodgers and the rest of the Packers squad. They’ll bounce back this week.

Seattle @ Arizona

SEA -3.5

This is the second must watch game of the week. The Cardinals are on the up swing, but Murray hasn’t played too well in the recent stretch of games. He’s made big plays, but is completing less of his passes. Even though Seattle’s defense has been one of the worst this year, I still believe in Wilson to get the job done at the end of the day. Murry may be a mini Wilson, but Wilson is about to show him who’s daddy.

Kansas City @ Denver

KC -9.5

Won’t spend too much time here. Denver has the ability to keep games close, but they’ll be too overpowered here. It will be interesting to see how Bell is integrated into the offense, if he is ready to go. Regardless, take the Chiefs.

Jacksonville @ Los Angeles Chargers

JAX +7.5

I don’t think Jacksonville wins this game, but this will be a close one. I honestly cannot tell you why, it’s a gut bet.

Tampa Bay @ Las Vegas

TB -3.5

The closeness of the line makes this a good bet in favor of Tampa Bay. Brady has looked pretty good the past few weeks, and I think he continues it this game.

San Francisco @ New England

NE -2

This game is honestly a toss up to me. Coaching gives the Patriots the edge in this game, but both quarterbacks have been sub-par recently. I’ll stick with Belichick.

Chicago @ Los Angeles Rams

LAR -6

I will never admit that the Bears are a good team, because they aren’t. They’ve only beaten one team with a winning record (Buccs 4-2), while the rest are a combined 7-16. As much as I don’t want to, I’ll roll with LA in this one.

Andrew

New York Giants @ Philadelphia

PHI -4.5

Boy oh boy if this isn’t one of the worst Thursday Night Football games of the season/last ten years. At least the Jets-Broncos game earlier in the season was high scoring. This one won’t be. Philly is without half it’s team, seriously. This one’s a toss-up at best. Philly with the money line.

Detroit @ Atlanta

ATL -2.5

Atlanta shocked everyone last week, wow. Can they keep it going? I think so. Detroit is so up and down, you never know how they’ll play. Falcons with the spread.

Cleveland @ Cincinnati

CIN+ 3

Gut feeling, can’t explain it, but Joe Burrow leads the Bengals to victory over the Browns. Mark it down.

Pittsburgh @ Tennessee

TEN -1

I cannot wait to watch this game. Undefeated versus undefeated. Ryan Tannehill is proving last year was no fluke, and Big Ben Roethlisberger is back to playing like his younger self. Titans are -1, and I’m gonna lean with that and say they win by a field goal.

Carolina @ New Orleans

CAR +7.5

I’ll take Panthers at +7.5 any day. Do they win? That depends on how often Saints running back Alvin Kamara touches the ball. If Carolina’s defense can’t stop Kamara, look for a Saints win but the Panthers covering the spread. If Kamara is stopped, Carolina wins outright.

Buffalo @ New York Jets

BUF -12.5

Adam Gase still the Jets head coach? Buffalo with the spread.

Dallas @ Washington

DAL -1

Even with a backup QB in Andy Dalton, and a third-string QB who doesn’t belong in the NFL, Dallas is way too talented to lose to Washington. Take the Cowboys with the spread.

Green Bay @ Houston

GB -3.5

Aaron Rodgers, coming off his first loss of the season, an embarrassing one no less, at only -3.5 against a terrible Texans team? HA! I’ll take a Packers thrashing with a side of fries please.

Seattle @ Arizona

ARI +3.5

This is an interesting matchup, as the Seahawks defense has not been stellar this season, but the offense is what’s leading the 5-0 start. Going up a QB like Kyler Murray may prove challenging. Seahawks win, but the Cardinals cover the spread.

Kansas City @ Denver

KC -9.5

Not even a question. Chiefs with the spread.

San Francisco @ New England

NE -2

San Francisco’s running game has once again taken a hit only this time it wasn’t Jerrick McKinnon, shocking. Now it’s up to McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty to keep the offense alive as Jimmy G struggles. Can they get it done? I don’t think so, New England with the money line.

Jacksonville @ Los Angeles Chargers

JAX +7.5

Gardner Minshew has not been the revelation he was last year, which caused Jacksonville to trade Nick Foles, but he’s been making things work from time to time. Chargers victory, but Jaguars cover the spread.

Tampa Bay @ Las Vegas

TB -3.5

Another great game, and this time it’s Sunday Night Football. Darren Waller, the Raiders tight end has been relatively quiet the last few weeks, and this is his chance to come alive and torch the Bucs. Tom Brady is finally looking comfortable with his new offense and will look to rip apart Las Vegas. Bucs with the spread.

Chicago @ Los Angeles Rams

LAR -6

I’m so confused as to how the Bears are 5-1. It boggles my mind. Apparently they’re good now. Mind blown. Still, go with the Rams at the money line.
