New Years Resolutions: NFC South

New Years Resolutions: NFC South

The NFC South, mainly the Buccaneers and Saints over the past couple of seasons, have been a fairly successful division. How can these resolutions help them improve?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Keep The Weapons Loaded

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the deepest groups of pass-catchers in the NFL, but that depth has really been put to the test this season. The Buccaneers need their weapons to stay healthy, depth is a great thing to have but you never want to be forced to tap into it.

New Orleans Saints: Play Every Team Like The Buccaneers

The Saints, for some reason, almost always find ways to ball out and beat the Buccaneers. If they could play that way against every team in the NFL they might’ve found a way to win multiple Super Bowls with Drew Brees.

Atlanta Falcons: Just Be Better

The Falcons being in playoff contention is the biggest joke ever. There’s no way this team deserves to be anywhere near .500, but here they are. There are a few different ways they could accomplish this. They could find a succession plan for Matt Ryan, they could fix their defense (AJ Terrell is a baller though), and they could find an offense.

Carolina Panthers: Get Matt Rhule In Check

I’m not sure what this guy is doing, he fired Joe Brady for what? The Panthers’ offense to get even worse? What about telling his players that he could get a top college job and make more money? (per the athletic). Sounds like an ego out of control to me, and we saw how one man’s ego could destroy a team when we saw Bill O’Brien destroy the Houston Texans from the inside out. I don’t know if firing Rhule will solve everything, but something needs to be done about his ego because it’s out of control.

Two teams have realistic playoff hopes for the next couple of seasons, and two need to get on the right track to become average.
