Once upon a time, Sage Steele was fired / suspended / parted ways with ESPN for violating an imaginary politics policy that the network has. Sam Ponder has now been let go and the rumor is her stance on transgender sports may have been a factor in the decision. It appears that if Mina Kimes violates the same policy, she is above the rules.
Kimes commented on potential VP Tim Walz and it was borderline weird regardless of which side you vote for.
“There’s something, to me, really important about seeing someone like this modeling a different kind of masculinity,” Kimes said of Walz.
“We’re kind of seeing it in the NFL with the Kelces, and Dan Campbell — this idea that ‘big, tough football guy’ isn’t separate from showing emotion and empathy. This man, the year he was a football coach, led the gay–straight alliance at the high school. That’s really powerful in a way that goes far beyond politics.”
I have questions…
A: Does Kimes actually make her political decisions based on a political candidate magically appearing to be like a football coach?
B: What makes Kimes above the rules? ESPN clearly has favorites. I’m just not sure why Kimes is one of them.
C: This one isn’t really a question but Michele Tafoya went IN. Girl fight!
Side note to close things out. If you’re on the side that Mina Kimes sucks, just remember I tried to tell you that was the case YEARS ago.
Kimes has no talent and you’re lying to yourself if you think she brings anyone to the table. Anyone who mocked the Bills for drafting Josh Allen isn’t smart. Trey would never.
