Michael Pittman Jr. Is About To Go Berserk This Year
Michael Pittman Jr. had a strong breakout season as a sophomore, and I think he’s only going to get better in the 2022 season. Whether we’re talking fantasy or as an actual player, I am ALL IN on Michael Pittman Jr. and here’s why you should be too.
The lack of competition in the Indianapolis Colts receiver room has always been the biggest aspect of fostering Pittman’s ascension to stardom. This clearly will not change going into next season. Sorry, Alec Pierce. Pittman Jr. is the certified A1 steak sauce alpha in that offense. As a fantasy owner you love to see it. Clear and obvious. No guessing games on who will get the most targets. It’s right there for you and gives you a sense of comfort when drafting him.
The reason I think Pittman Jr. takes another leap this year though is the upgrade at quarterback. Some people are in on Matt Ryan. I am one of them, but others are not. End of the day, I’m pretty certain he’s going to be better than Carson Wentz or Phillip Rivers were for Pittman. Ryan may not be mobile but his combination of arm strength and decision making is the best Pittman has ever worked with. Pittman said it himself.
With a more accurate quarterback and another year of experience under his belt, Pittman is poised for a massive season. For fantasy purposes, draft him. Dynasty? Acquire him. Auction? Buy him. Redraft snake leagues? Please draft him because his 3rd/4th round ADP is a screaming bargain at this point in the offseason.
Michael Pittman Jr. knows he has it it in himself. I do too. Now we just have to wait and watch that man cook.
