Recently, Michael Lombardi of the GM Shuffle podcast reported that Tua Tagovailoa flunked his physical by two teams inside the top 10. Here’s what Lombardi had to say:
“That’s got to get around that at least one team failed the physical on Tua others have to be concerned now as well.,” Lombardi said on his GM Shuffle podcast. “What they saw…is they saw the fact it’s not just his hip. It’s his ankle. It’s his wrist.
“He broke his wrist the first day of spring ball one year. And then they fixed it, he came back, and he broke it again.”
“And he’s brittle,” Lombardi continued. “You can’t deny it. You can’t deny it.”
Actually, I can deny that. Tua has missed 4 games in two years. Not sure that qualifies as brittle. Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, and Carson Wentz all battled injuries in college. It’s a dumb argument but Lombardi seems passionate defending his point. But why?
Now this information seems a bit odd given the report wasn’t picked up by Adam Schefter or Ian Rapoport. It was also reported a few days earlier that Tua’s MRI on his hip was fantastic he was 100 percent good to go and medically cleared. Stefania Bell who is a great medical expert for ESPN talked to doctors close to the situation who say Tua is good to go now and moving forward.
I haven’t found a report anywhere that suggests Tua’s medical results came back negative. Every legitimate reporter has said everything has been overwhelmingly positive. Just Lombardi has buckled down. But why? This is SO obvious… Patriots.
It’s clear Lombardi is a Patriots sleeper agent. It was reported that the Patriots likely have their hearts set on Tua if he were to fall in the draft. Nick Saban and Bill Belichick have always had a close relationship. So has Lombardi and Belichick. Lombardi worked for Belichick in Cleveland and New England.
You’re telling me there isn’t a good chance Belichick didn’t call Lombardi to try to make sure Tua can fall in the draft? It’s the Russian Mafia Mob Boss waking up his sleeper agent to destroy the country. Even Lombardi’s information sounds sketchy. “two teams inside the top 10”. Yeah, that’s where Tua needs to fall to so New England has a shot to move up. They don’t have the draft ammo to move up.
I’m not buying it Lombardi. Plus even if it’s true, who cares? The Dolphins flunked Drew Brees. There are a lot of dumb teams out there. He’s been medically cleared and has been working out. That’s more than enough for me. Go ahead and be dumb enough to make the Drew Brees mistake twice. I won’t do it.
